Japanese and Korean restaurants often take reservations for dinner and may add a service charge for large groups; Thai and Vietnamese spots are usually walk-in and quick-turnover. Spice levels are frequently adjustable on request at Thai, Indian and Sichuan-adjacent menus, so say if you want it mild or hot. This hole in the wall off of Haywood Street in Asheville, North Carolina is a gym in the middle of the lower Appalachian Mountains. I highly recommend the Thai Fried Rice dinner with chicken. I had it at heat level three. Absolutely fantastic! The service was great! And your food is cooked by an authentic Thai cook. So youβre not getting any of that American recycled crap. I donβt know how this place doesnβt have five stars, but Iβm giving it five stars. Whatβs wrong?

Incredible Thai food. The noodle broth alone is worth the visit. The broth is rich, aromatic, and bursting with flavor. Everything we tried was amazing. A must-go spot.

Quaint location on the west side of asheville where there are plenty of coffee shops, tattoo parlors, and friendly faces grazing the streets with their fur animals. The food here felt authentic and balanced. I enjoyed the meal and will come again.

Thai Pearl is absolutely amazing β a true gem in West Asheville. Every single dish we tried was delicious, packed with flavor, and clearly made with love. Chef May herself was in the kitchen, and you can taste her passion and energy in every bite. We ordered our dishes on the simpler side, but asked for extra spice on the side β it was the perfect way to dial it up just how we like it. Portions were generous (we had more than enough to take home), so sadly no room for dessert this timeβ¦ but that just gives us the perfect excuse to come back soon. Huge thanks to Chef May and her entire team β the food, the atmosphere, and the hospitality make Thai Pearl a must-visit. Weβll definitely be back with the whole family very soon.
